In our gelateria we offer also a wide selection of cakes and, to order, your customised cake.

In 1997 we decided to open our own ice cream gelateria. Full of enthusiasm and willingness to learn, we have managed to achieve, over the years, a vast knowledge and professionalism recognised by all our customers.

The “Gelateria di Castellina” was founded in 1997 by Simone and Chiara, who enthusiastically threw themselves into a reality they did not know but with the desire to learn and grow over the years.

… in a continuous search for combinations and contrasts, but also for new balances of old recipes to make their gelato current and closer to customers’ taste, without ever neglecting the quality of the raw ingredients. The policy has always been to try to evolve and improve.

During all these years the gelateria has continued to grow until the decision was made to move to a more suitable location more in line with customers’ needs. Therefore in 2016, it moved to its new headquarters, a former roadhouse surrounded by a garden, where you can enjoy a gelato in peace, and large parking spaces nearby.

In the meantime, Simone and Chiara’s family has grown and their eldest son, Alessandro, works with them in the gelateria. The three are supported by indispensable collaborators and together they try, with a quality gelato and a smile, to sweeten people’s day.

Since 2016, with the transfer, we have decided to adopt a waste reduction policy. Precisely:

The irrigation of the garden takes place through rainwater collection.

The water used to cool the machines in production, is recovered by tanks and reused.

We take advantage of natural light as much as possible thanks to the large windows.

In addition, always remember that a gelato cone produces practically no rubbish other than the small wipe that can be disposed of in the organic waste.
